A Conference room set up should be strategically designed so that the message may reach every body. Conference room set ups can be of various types and should be planned by proper technicians. The most common conference rooms set up styles are: Auditorium, Board Room, Classroom, Hollow Square, U Shape, Cluster and the Octagon.
U Shaped Setup
The participants are seated in a 'U' shape. The open end of the 'U' is situated at the front of the meeting-room and provides an suitable location for the presenter. Participants are provided with a table or desk for taking notes.
Auditorium Setup
The participants are seated in rows of chairs without table or desks. Here, interaction is minimal and questions are put forward by the use of an audience microphone.
Boardroom
The participants are seated at a boardroom table. This is particularly suitable for Board of Directors or Focus group meetings.
Cluster Setup
In this setup style, the participants are seated in groups within the meeting room. Each group can be designated as a team or can be from a specific department. This setup is used in such cases where the instructor presides group sessions or group problem solving sessions. .
Octagon Setup
In this setup style, the participants are seated around tables arranged in an octagon. This seating arrangement permits each participant to view others.
Push To Talk microphones (PTT)
Allow delegates at a congress to be heard clearly without interrupting each other. Microphones are essential for conference systems where audio recording, transcription or interpretation is required. PTT microphones are ideal for use as a conference sound system for full round-table discussions, or where a discussion between members of the audience is to take place.
Each unit contains a high quality digitally controlled microphone and an internal sound system, eliminating the need for external Public Address systems. They are connected to a central controller which ensures only one delegate can take the floor at any one time.
